Mumbles enjoy the festival spirit
Hundreds of residents and tourists descended on Newton Road in the Mumbles for their annual summer festival.
The road was closed for this event from the White Rose pub to Oystermouth School junction from 5 pm until 10 pm.
An array of entertainments and activities were set up along both sides of the road, a samba parade by the Bloco Vale Samba band started at the bottom of Newton Road at 6.30pm and headed up to the school and back down again.
The Band was escorted up the busy road by a Victorian Policeman from the Glamorgan Constabulary Police Re-enactment Group.
There was live music all around the village featuring performances from Twin Peaks, Papa Gee, Connor Burns and Gareth Cornfield.
There was plenty of things to keep the kids entertained with a carousel, kids rides and face painting.
Street food was available, and there were pop-up Al Fresco seating areas.
